The term "sick typhoid symptoms" or "new symptoms of typhoid fever" has been known by many people. Quite often patients come to the doctor saying "I used to have symptoms of typhoid fever ...", "symptoms of typhoid is this?", Or "new dock does typhoid symptoms." Perhaps there are still some doctors who tell patients that the mother / father suffered from symptoms typhoid, typhus or new symptoms.
The term "sick typhoid symptoms" often we use when suffering from fever with one or more other symptoms: weakness, fatigue, malaise, aches, headache, chills, nausea and vomiting. Not infrequently also the only patient with symptoms of fatigue alone is thought she was sick typhoid symptoms.
Use of the term pain symptoms or new symptoms of typhoid fever typhoid inappropriate. Society and is also not a few doctors have mengeneralisir complaints of symptoms I mentioned above with symptoms of typhoid illness. Although in the medical world there is a term of typhoid-like illness, the term is not used in general. The term is used for a disease with a collection of symptoms that actually resembles typhoid disease. It is not easy as we say that the complaints of fever accompanied by fatigue alone was sick typhoid symptoms.
In the world of medicine, what we are familiar with the pain symptoms of typhoid are actually called constitutional symptoms (constitutional symptoms) or flu-like illness. Flu-like illness is a collection of symptoms consisting of one or more of the following symptoms: fever, fatigue, aches, headache, chills, nausea, and vomiting. Called with flu-like illness as a collection of symptoms that resemble flu symptoms but not caused by the flu.
Constitutional symptoms are nonspecific symptoms that indicate we are not healthy. Constitutional symptoms may be caused by a variety of illnesses and largely due to infectious diseases. Infectious diseases that can cause constitutional symptoms such as respiratory infections, dengue fever, urinary tract infections, gastrointestinal infections, including typhoid, and others. Constitutional symptoms also can be caused immunological diseases and malignancies.
Use of the term pain symptoms that are not appropriate typhus has many implications. Among them are patients tend to consider themselves sick typhoid and expect treatment with antibiotics. Though conditions have not necessarily experienced disease typhus and do not necessarily need antibiotics. Arguably, this makes patients less attention to the possibility of other causes. Use of the term sick typhoid symptoms among physicians also may lead to the use of inappropriate antibiotics. Any patients with symptoms of typhoid fever pain prescribed antibiotics. Inappropriate use of antibiotics will lead to increased resistance (immunity) the bacteria to antibiotics. Unless the typical symptoms experienced by patients with typhoid and is supported by investigation of sensitivity and high specificity, it can be said ill typhoid (typhoid symptoms rather than pain) and the clear need antibiotics.
Are we still going to use "sick typhoid symptoms" for flu-like illness condition? Why do not we just say "sick typhoid" if true typhus? Of course, after going through anamnesis, physical examination, and investigation in accordance with current guidelines, or science. Thus, to avoid inappropriate use of antibiotics that help prevent bacterial resistance to antibiotics.
